Cultural reference flotsam...
I was watching Jaws last night in HD. I note this because watching older movies in HD is a treat, for my brain has internalized the grainy videotape images of the film at best.
It is more Hitchcockian than I remember, mostly in some dark sly humor that is not prevalent in Spielberg movies.
So anyhow there is a scene where Roy Scheider is scanning the shoreline and an older gentleman distracts...
