2) Even as far back as January 2011, I’ve had friends ask me, earnestly, how I think the election would play out this year, and I have always held that President Obama would win with relative ease. Why? Not because he has been perfect, but because I live in a reality based universe, where hearing ditto heads call him a socialist is as ridiculous as hearing libitards call him a fascist. He is an extremely moderate and judicious executive, one that gets things done, not one that grabs for headlines. Just the fact that he understands and is working against the obscenities of the post 9/11 corruption circus is good enough for me, and should be good enough for all of us. Sullivan gets it 99% right as I would expect from a rightist, gay intellectual. (2 out of 3 great modifiers!)
