OK now—I’m never going to apologize for liking Green Day—they were always punk in its youthful spirit, and i always had american hardcore bands for my “earnest” fix. That said: 1) my son James is 9 and loves them, and 2) they are covering John Lennon’s “Working Class Hero” a punk song if there ever was one. Too bad I couldn’t edit that douchebag Ryan Seacrest out of the video.
